Neil Gehani is Chief Executive Officer of Trilogy Real Estate Group, LLC (“Trilogy”), where he focuses on the strategic direction of the firm and fundraising. Prior to founding Trilogy, Mr. Gehani was in private practice, where he concentrated on real estate and tax law. His clients included buyers and sellers of residential and commercial properties, real estate developers, and condominium associations. Prior to private practice, Mr. Gehani worked for KPMG LLP, where he advised clients on the structuring and corporate and partnership taxation aspects of various business transactions. His work at KPMG LLP included the ongoing representation of a preeminent real estate investment management firm.

Mr. Gehani received a Juris Doctor and an Master of Laws in Taxation from the Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business. Mr. Gehani has been a speaker at industry events and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), Urban Land Institute, and the National Multifamily Housing Council.

Clayton Hanson is the President of Trilogy, where he is responsible for the day-to-day management of the business and the development and implementation of Trilogy’s strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Hanson was a Managing Director at Maverick Capital, a multibillion-dollar investment firm. While at Maverick, he helped oversee a $1.3 billion hedge fund portfolio which served as a diversification vehicle for Maverick partners, employees and clients. In addition to his investment responsibilities, he led the recruiting efforts for Maverick’s investment team. Mr. Hanson began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Hanson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Girish Gehani is Chief Operating Officer for Trilogy, where his responsibilities include implementing asset strategy, acquisition due diligence, construction management, and maximizing property value. Mr. Gehani also oversees Trilogy Residential Management, LLC, Trilogy’s affiliated property management company, where he develops and implements portfolio-wide initiatives.

Mr. Gehani received a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance from New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad School of Business. Mr. Gehani is an active member of the National Apartment Association where he serves on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, the Chicagoland Apartment Association where he serves as a Board Member, and the National Multifamily Housing Council.

Jesse Karasik is Chief Investment Officer for Trilogy, where he focuses on the investment direction of the firm and capital markets. With 19 years of real estate investment experience, he has executed and closed over $3 billion of real estate transactions across the United States including both equity and debt investments.

Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Karasik was with CBRE Capital Markets for seven years procuring equity and debt on behalf of institutional and private real estate investors across property types. Additionally, he was a Seller/Servicer for Freddie Mac and a Delegated Underwriter for Fannie Mae. Prior to Mr. Karasik’s tenure with CBRE, he specialized in managing multifamily properties.

Mr. Karasik holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the Urban Land Institute.

Matt Leiter is the Chief Financial Officer for Trilogy, where he leads the company’s equity capital markets strategy. Mr. Leiter has filled senior executive roles in the real estate development and investment arenas. Immediately prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Leiter served as executive vice president of equity markets at GK Development Inc., where he structured, launched and oversaw the distribution of 14 investment funds including 1031 Delaware statutory trusts, mezzanine debt offerings, opportunity zone funds, preferred equity offerings and the first Regulation A Tier II real estate bond funds. He also managed assets, monitored investment performance and created proprietary trading and clearing systems to streamline investment purchasing. As a real estate developer, Mr. Leiter entitled and developed more than $350 million in multifamily and mixed-use development projects.

Mr. Leiter received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a Master of Business degree from the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business.

Suzanne VonDruska is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Trilogy, where she is responsible for aligning workforce planning with the organizational vision and effectively defining future-state goals to drive dynamic and innovative recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations strategies.

Ms. VonDruska has over 15 years of experience in Human Resources. Prior to joining Trilogy, Ms. VonDruska successfully led the launch of several businesses securing and structuring personnel, platforms, benefits, and learning & development tools. Once established, she oversaw high-impact recruiting, people management, corporate culture, and operational innovation for companies in the management consulting, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and healthcare technology industries.

Ms. VonDruska received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. She is passionate about supporting the communities in which she serves and is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), as well as Off the Street Club (OTSC).

Shay Baldwin is General Counsel for Trilogy, where he oversees all legal matters for the company and provides day-to-day strategic, tactical, and compliance counsel to the company’s executive team.

Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Baldwin chaired the 21-attorney commercial real estate group at the law firm of Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. where his practice focused on real estate transactions including office, industrial, retail, multifamily residential, construction, leasing, financing, and investment. During such time, Mr. Baldwin was named one of Super Lawyers Magazine’s Rising Stars and Super Lawyers and achieved a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating among his peers for legal ability, professional reliability, diligence and ethics, and a Preeminent Rating of same among his prior clients.

Mr. Baldwin received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Chicago and a Master of Laws in Real Estate degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, graduating with honors. Mr. Baldwin is also an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago.

Tom Jaros is the Chief Transaction Counsel at Trilogy Real Estate Group, where he is responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of the company's transactions. Prior to joining Trilogy, Tom was a partner in the Real Estate Group at Levenfeld Pearlstein LLC, where he specialized in the acquisition, financing and disposition of all property types across the nation, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail and hotel properties. Over a 26-year career at LP, Tom served on its professional development, compensation and executive committees.

Tom received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Knox College in 1989 and his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1992, with high honors. Tom has been ranked in Chambers USA for 2014-2022, reflecting his reputation and experience in real estate law.

Andrew Ahern is a Vice President of Acquisitions at Trilogy, where he is responsible for evaluating new acquisition and development opportunities. Mr. Ahern also manages debt capital markets for the existing Trilogy portfolio.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Ahern served in a variety of Accounting and Asset Management roles with Trilogy over the past 10 years. As an Asset Manager, Mr. Ahern analyzed financial performance in order to maximize portfolio value. Mr. Ahern also previously worked as a Controller and Fund Accountant, where he was responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of financial information across five investment funds. Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Ahern worked as an auditor for Crowe Horwath LLP.

Mr. Ahern received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Miami University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois. Mr. Ahern is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council.

Kurt Anderson is Senior Counsel for Trilogy Real Estate Group, where he provides legal counsel in day-to-day business matters and transactions, as well as providing strategic guidance on matters and issues affecting the company as a whole.

Prior to joining Trilogy, Kurt was a member of the Real Estate Group with the law firm of Patzik, Frank & Samotny, Ltd., where his practice focused on the representation of various privately held companies and clients in connection with nearly every aspect of their real estate business, including the acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing, and development of various commercial and mixed-use properties, including multifamily residential properties, retail shopping centers, office buildings, and industrial properties.

Kurt is a three-time graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture in 2001, and both his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Real Estate, with Honors, in 2004.

Tim Biere is Vice President of Development at Trilogy, where he focuses on the hands-on, tactical management of development projects through all stages of the process, from conceptual underwriting to project stabilization. Key responsibilities include budget management, scheduling, vendor selection, agreement negotiations, and general oversight of design and construction during the development process. Mr. Biere also works with the operations and leasing teams throughout the process to help facilitate a smooth turnover and expedited lease-up as the projects are completed.

Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Biere worked for RDG Funds where he was responsible for deal sourcing, underwriting, contract negotiations, design and construction oversight, and asset management for ground-up and value-add office, retail, residential, and mixed-use development projects.

Mr. Biere holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from The University of Kansas, and a Master of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management from University of Denver.

Iris Burnett is the Vice President of Systems, where she is responsible for overseeing and maintaining technological initiatives for Trilogy as well as managing internal systems support.

With a multifaceted real estate career spanning almost 25 years, Iris started in the industry as a leasing professional and worked in several different multifamily housing positions before transitioning into software and systems. Ms. Burnett commenced her transition to the technology side of the business as an enterprise software implementation trainer and system administrator. Prior to joining Trilogy, Iris was a Senior Software Consultant at one of the top firms in the industry.

Ms. Burnett holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Jessica Cottrell is Vice President of Property Operations for Trilogy, where she is responsible for overseeing the onsite operations for all Trilogy multifamily communities. Ms. Cottrell is involved in the day-to-day operations with our onsite teams as well as working in conjunction with Trilogy’s asset management, development, accounting and acquisition teams to maximize asset value and ensure operational excellence across the portfolio.

Ms. Cottrell has over 15 years of real estate experience and has served many roles within Trilogy. Prior to her current role at Trilogy, Ms. Cottrell served as a Portfolio Manager and Regional Property Manager. Before joining Trilogy, Ms. Cottrell held a number of positions with Greystar, a multifamily real estate management company.

Ms. Cottrell received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from International Academy of Design and Technology. She also holds her CAM and CAPS certifications through the National Apartment Association.

David Griffin is Vice President of Strategy & Research at Trilogy, where he is responsible for strategy development and implementation, fund performance analysis and reporting, multifamily sector market research, and various investor relations and capital markets functions.

Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Griffin was a Senior Equity Research Analyst at William Blair & Company, a multibillion-dollar investment bank. While at William Blair, he was the lead research analyst covering a portfolio of publicly traded enterprise software companies with a combined market capitalization of over $100 billion. Mr. Griffin’s primary responsibilities in this role included in-depth market and company-specific research, composing and presenting proprietary research reports, and maintaining an expansive network of relationships with company management teams, initial public offering candidates, and industry experts. Over his seven-year tenure, Mr. Griffin participated in over 20 primary and secondary stock offerings accounting for several billion dollars of transaction value. Mr. Griffin began his career as an operations manager at Pyramid Advisors, a privately held provider of consulting, investment management, and asset management services to the hospitality sector.

Mr. Griffin received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.

Michael Hammon is an Executive Vice President for Trilogy, where he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s development efforts in Florida. Mr. Hammon has over 30 years of multifamily development experience and has developed over 20,000 residential units throughout his career. Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Hammon spent 17 years at Related Group and 13 years at RAM Realty Services, where he served as one of five members of the senior management team and on its investment committee.

As a resident of the City of Miami Beach for the past 25 years, he has served on numerous civic and cultural committees in the city of Miami Beach, including the Miami City Ballet Construction Committee. the Collins Park Cultural Campus Oversight Committee, the Cultural Arts Neighborhood District Overlay Committee, Miami Beach United, and as President of The Lower North Bay Road Homeowners Association. Mr. Hammon attended Indiana University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He later received a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis on Real Estate and Finance from the University of California, Berkeley.

Marc Henny is an Executive Vice President of Trilogy, where he oversees the accounting and finance function of the management company and the underlying investments and funds. Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Henny was a Managing Director at Oak Street Real Estate Capital, where he oversaw the accounting function of the private funds. Prior to Oak Street, he was the Senior Vice President and Director of Heitman’s Financial Operations & Analysis Department where he was responsible for the oversight of the financial operations function for all real estate and debt investments in North America. Mr. Henny began his career at Equity Residential in accounting, due diligence, and acquisitions.

Mr. Henny received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Dayton. He received his MBA from DePaul University with a concentration in Finance.

Katie Jansen is a Vice President of Acquisitions at Trilogy, where she is responsible for procuring and evaluating new acquisition and development opportunities. With 12 years of commercial real estate experience, Ms. Jansen has successfully executed over $1.2 billion of real estate acquisitions across all major asset classes, including retail, industrial, office, and multifamily.

Prior to joining Trilogy, Ms. Jansen spent 7 years at DWS (RREEF), where she initially spent time analyzing a variety of investment and portfolio management scenarios for the flagship core fund, RREEF America REIT II. She then transitioned to the Acquisitions team, where she was responsible for underwriting all potential acquisitions, due diligence, and closing. She began her career at CBRE in the Retail Brokerage group.

Ms. Jansen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Cincinnati. She is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the Real Estate Finance Forum in Chicago.

Susan Mallmann is Vice President of Accounting for Trilogy where she is responsible for overseeing corporate accounting for the management company and treasury management. Ms. Mallmann has over 20 years of accounting experience within the real estate and investment industries. Prior to joining Trilogy, she was a Director of Corporate Accounting at Waterton, a multifamily real estate investment company, and a Controller at First National Assets, a specialty finance private equity group. Ms. Mallmann began her career as an auditor at Ernst & Young.

Ms. Mallmann received a BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Virginia-Charlottesville, and an Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is a registered Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.

Nisha Mishra is Vice President of Investments at Trilogy, where she is responsible for creating synergies and communicating the firm’s investment and capital markets initiatives.

Prior to joining Trilogy, Ms. Mishra was Vice President at Oxford Capital Group, where she was responsible for acquisitions, entitlements/planning, due diligence, and asset management, as well as raising capital from institutional investors. Ms. Mishra previously worked as an associate at CBRE Capital Markets, Multifamily where she underwrote over $16 billion of core and value-add apartments, condo deconversions, and JV equity raises with the Chicago Metropolitan Statistical Area. During her time at CBRE, Nisha was involved with over $3B in sale transactions comprising of nearly 15,000 units. She began her career at CohnReznick in the Valuation Advisory Services group.

Ms. Mishra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is a board member of the Real Estate Finance Forum in Chicago and on the programming committee for the Urban Land Institute.

Steve Paler is Vice President of Accounting for Trilogy, where he is responsible for overseeing the fund accounting for Trilogy’s retail funds.

Mr. Paler has over 15 years of experience in fund accounting. Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Paler was a Fund Controller at Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation, where he oversaw the fund accounting for a public non-traded mortgage REIT and a private shopping center REIT. Additionally, he was a Fund Controller at TradeLink Capital LLC, a hedge fund manager.

Mr. Paler is a registered Certified Public Accountant and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Joshua Peters is the Vice President of Construction with Trilogy’s Development Team and is responsible for new ground-up development projects from land purchase through stabilization including entitlements, constructability analysis and local code review, establishment of best practices for project quality control and quality assurance, and design management of specifications and construction drawings. Mr. Peters works closely with all members of the acquisitions and leadership teams, and regularly visits project sites to monitor progress, performance, schedule, and conformance with development goals. He leads meetings with key project stakeholders and designers, and provides leadership to bring projects in on schedule and under budget.

Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Peters managed land entitlements, design, development, and interfaced between owners, sub-contractors, and municipal and regulatory agencies. During his tenure, he oversaw the successful construction and design-build deliveries on over 2.2 million square feet of industrial developments, 2,000+ multifamily units in various stages of construction, as well as multiple specialty commercial and municipal projects.

Mr. Peters holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University and earned LEED AP certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Sarah Pollard is the Senior Vice President of Asset Management for Trilogy, where she is responsible for maximizing asset value through oversight of the financial and strategic performance of the portfolio. Ms. Pollard also manages capital project execution, value-add performance, acquisition and disposition due diligence, and directs financial performance through budget and business plan formation.

Ms. Pollard has over 16 years of real estate experience and has served many roles within Trilogy. Prior to her asset management positions at Trilogy, Ms. Pollard was in the accounting and finance department and served as a fund accountant and controller. Prior to Trilogy, Ms. Pollard worked for a student housing developer and management company. Ms. Pollard received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and has a Certified Public Accountant license.

Mario Valenzuela is the Senior Manager of Capital Projects for Trilogy, where he is responsible for the day-to-day management of Capital Projects, Property Support, and Vendor Relations.

Mr. Valenzuela began working with Trilogy in 2014 as a Project Manager, in support of the Capital Projects team, and has been supporting most of Trilogy’s projects in various capacities. Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Valenzuela was working as a Client Financial Manager at Accenture LLP, a multibillion-dollar consulting and outsourcing firm. While at Accenture, he supported several global clients, provided financial support to Accenture leadership, and produced quarterly reporting in support of the company’s earnings calls. He also provided support for hundreds of offshore resources, numerous subcontractors, and various consultants.

Mr. Valenzuela holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from DePaul University, Chicago IL.
